Tour the world in your own backyard!  WorldFest is returning to Downtown Woburn on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 2-5 PM. Visitors can enjoy artwork, crafts, activities, cultural displays, and of course food from around the world. Entertaining the crowd this year will be Eastern Star Children’s Choir, the Bunker Hill Bag Pipe Band, the Merry Minstrels, Cuban musician Coco Torres, Japanese Drummers from Odaiko New England, Brazilian Dancers, Ku’s Taekwondo Academy, Fan Dancers from the Korean School of New England, the Woburn Memorial High School A Cappella Singers, and Nadia Sophia with Middle Eastern Belly Dancing.

Children’s activities and performances will delight the little ones. Kids of all ages can try their luck at a piñata, learn Polynesian poi, practice their martial arts skills with Rising Storm Training Academy, take a soccer clinic, and learn origami while getting passport stamps that will earn them a free treat from Hot Breads of Woburn. Bring your family and enjoy an afternoon of culture!

WorldFest will take place on the Woburn Public Library Lawn at 45 Pleasant Street. The rain location will be the Senior Center in Woburn on 144 School Street.

Free parking for the afternoon may be found in the Library Field lot behind the library, or in the City Hall parking lot across Pleasant Street. There is also a municipal lot behind the Bowladrome in Woburn Center.
